Another window will open, after which you may take the course by clicking the Next Slide button to review each slide. Click the View Notes button for additional information for each slide. You can also view slides one at a time by clicking on the slide thumbnails located below the control buttons.

Screen saver software may affect the functionality and performance of the presentation. If you have such software, we advise you to temporarily disable it while taking this course.

Once you have viewed the entire presentation, click the Take the Course Test button (last slide) to make the course test page appear. After you pass the test, a login/registration box will appear at the top of the page. After you log in (returning eMedicine users) or register (new eMedicine users), you must complete a short course survey/evaluation to obtain your CME certificate. You may immediately view and print your certificate, and a copy will also be emailed to the address you provided upon registration.
